  6. Adrian says:

I might be stupid, but tried to import a theme to my project by selecting a CSS or SWC file included in the “ZIP” my steps where the following:

1.- Unzip the template files in to a folder
2.- Open my flex project and go to project properties
3.- Select Flex Themes and click “Import Theme”
4.- Navigate to the folder containing the template files
5.- Select the SWC file contained in the folder
6.- Now the theme is “imported”
7.- I select it for my project and press ok

RESULT : The skin is not being fully detected, it will show the flex default theme instead of the new theme.

    I AM MISSING SOMETHING ?

    • Jared Mecham says:

In case you don’t speak portuguese, perjanbr said that most of these themes are for flex 3. Flash Builder 4 is different in that it requires a namespace to be declared in the .css file. I only know this after a few hours of trying to get several of these themes to work last night. In particular I wanted Blend to work. :(

I don’t s’pose anyone knows how to contact Richard Williams? :D

  7. Perjanbr says:

A maioria dos temas aqui e para flex 3, nao funciona corretamente no flex 4.

  8. a_[w] says:

Looks like you’ve shown everything that you found, not only chosen ones. Plastic is only one that i can describe as beautiful, everything else just a crap. I understand that is an old topic and a lot has changed from publishing time, but it is hard to find something new for me(looks like mosh of themes live at scalenine.com). May be you know where to find Flex 4 themes? Can you suggest something better free for use?

P.S.: Windows theme looks and appears like Linux Gnome. :)

  9. Steve says:

I want to use Aeon by Xu Jiajun, and this gives no indication of how to use the theme. In flex I am given the option of importing an .swc file, or a .css file. When I download this theme all I get is a partial flex project. It doesn’t even compile because it has no .\libs folder.

  10. Steve says:

I am able to open the project (after creating a libs folder and recreating the html template)…. but nothing shows up green at all. Something is wrong with this, was it made with an old version of flex or something?

  11. ejaaz says:
